Indian Air Force has published a notification AFCAT 01/2024 for the recruitment of Flying & Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches. NCC Special Entry for Courses Commencing in January 2025. The Candidates who are Interested and eligible candidates may visit the official website and apply online from there.


AFCAT is nothing but a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Indian Air Force to recruit officers for various posts in different branches of Indian Air Force. The test is held every year in February and August, solely, to pick-up Class-I Officers in Flying and Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical). This test is conducted to assesses candidates' aptitude in verbal ability, numerical ability, reasoning, general awareness, and military aptitude. The candidate who are successfully qualified in this test can move on to the next stages of the selection process, including interviews and medical examinations.

   Eligibility Criteria of Indian Air Force AFCAT 01/2024

Nationality : The candidate must be Citizen of India



Educational Qualification:


  • Flying Branch: Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks and Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level.


  • Ground Duty (Technical) Branch: Engineering degree in relevant disciplines or equivalent degree.


  • Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branch: Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks.


Final Year Candidates : Yes, Eligible and they can apply. However they have to produce pass certificate in due course of time.


Knowledge of Computer / Computer Skill –Nil.



Experience: Not Applicable.



Local Language: Not Applicable.



Marital Status :

  • Candidates must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course and marriage is not permitted during training.


Age Limit:

  • Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years as on 01 January 2025. Born between 02-01-2001 to 01-01-2005 (both dates inclusive).

  • Ground Duty (Technical/ Non-Technical) Branches: 20 to 26 years as on 01 January 2025. born between 02 January 1999 to 01 January 2005 both dates Inclusive).


  • Age Relaxation : Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 year i.e. born between 02 January 1999 to 01 January 2005 (both dates inclusive).

Salary

During training, an allowance of Rs. 52,600 will be paid to students of the Indian Air Force. The term of the training for AFCAT is 1 year. The most recent breakdown of AFCAT compensation for a charged official (Per Month)

  • Pay Band for all Branches–₹ 56,100

  • Monthly Level 10 within the Pay Matrix: VIIth CPC – 56,100-1,10,700

  • Military Service Pay:- ₹ 15,500 Per Month

  • Technical Branch Officers: Rs. 2,500 every month
