Eligibility Criteria of SBI Recruitment 2023


Educational Qualification:
  • Graduation in any discipline or equivalence degree. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should pass the IDD on or before 30.12.2023.


  • Final Year Candidates: Those who are in the final year/ semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 30.12.2023.




Age Limit:
  • 20 - 28 years as on 01.04.2023, i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1995 and not later than 01.04.2003 (both days inclusive).


  • Age Relaxation: age relaxation is as shown below

SC/ST: 5 years

OBC: 3 years

PwD (Unreserved): 10 years

PwD (OBC): 13 years

PwD (SC/ST): 15 years

 

 

Local Language Proficiency:
  • The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular State/UT, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in the specified opted local language of that State/UT.

Selection Process of SBI Clerk Recruitment 2023

 

The selection process of SBI Clerk Recruitment will consist of two phases

  1. On-line test (Preliminary & Main exam)

  2. Test of specified opted local language.

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
  • Type : Online and Objective

  • No of Questions: 100

  • Total Marks: 100

  • Time Duration: 60 Minutes.

  • Sections – Consist of 3 Sections (English language, Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability)

  • Negative Marking : 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer

  • Qualifying Marks: No minimum qualifying marks are prescribed for individual test or for aggregate score. Section wise marks will not be maintained.

  • Each test will have a separate timing as mentioned below.

  • Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 10 times the numbers of vacancies. subject to availability) will be shortlisted for the Main Exam from the list of all candidates arranged in descending order of aggregate marks scored.

 

 

Phase - II: Main Examination
  • Type : Online and Objective

  • No of Questions: 190

  • Total Marks: 200

  • Time Duration: 160 Minutes.

  • Sections – Consist of 4 Sections

  • Negative Marking: 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer

  • Qualifying Marks: Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage mark on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/ESM/DESM candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon). Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be as decided by the bank. No minimum qualifying marks for individual subject are prescribed. Section wise marks will not be maintained.

  • Each test will have a separate timing as mentioned below.

  • Merit list will be drawn State wise, category wise. Candidates qualified in the test (main examination) will be placed according to their aggregate marks in descending order in respective States and Categories.

 


Test of specified opted local language
  • Those who qualify for selection and have studied the specified opted local language as per 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate will not be subjected to any Language test.

 

  • In case of others who qualified for selection, specified opted local language test will be conducted after provisional selection but before joining. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be offered appointment. Candidates not found proficient in specified opted local language would be disqualified.

 


Final Selection
  • The marks obtained in the Phase-I (Preliminary Examination) will not be counted for the selection

  • Only the aggregate marks obtained in the Phase-II (Main Examination) will be taken into consideration for preparation of the final merit list.

  • Provisional selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the Main Examination.
